Called, "b.eats," enjoy the free entertainment as you dine on sushi and sake from 6pm till 9pm. The smooth sounds is provided by DJ Ryan Live, DJ Ayebert, and DJ A1. If you don't know who they are, come and find out. Dinner and a show. What more can you ask for on a Wednesday night?
Sushi World's blog
In light of all the customers trying to capture pokemons at the restaurant, here's a little reminder that we do have a very delicious Hawaiian Tuna Poké available. Come on in and catch them all! It features fresh tuna, albacore, avocado, gobo, marinated seaweed, and a delicious poké dressing. It's great to eat at the start, in the middle, or even at the end of a meal with us. It's that good! And yes, you are more than welcome to still come on in and catch all the pokemons that you want in the restaurant. Just remember to eat while you're here.
If Poland wins their Euro game versus Portugal on Thursday, EVERYONE in the restaurant will receive either a free beer or dessert on the house! The game starts at noon so be sure to stop by on Thursday and catch the game with us. Poland is favored so the likelihood of a free beer or dessert is very high. If you like soccer (or football), come on by and watch the game with us. If you're new to sushi, our sushi chefs will gladly walk you through it. And in case you're wondering why we're rooting for Poland, our manager happens to be Polish :-)
That's right. Pops deserves it. He's put up with all your crap all this time. It's time to give him something good. Yes, he would like power tools and some peace and quiet but we all know that's not gonna happen. Bring him on in to Sushi World where we'll give him a choice of our many specialty sushi rolls including our Red Dragon Roll, Atlantic Dragon Roll, Volcano Roll, Anaheim Chili Tempura Roll, our signature Cypress Roll with strawberries, our sophisticated Manhattan Roll, Snowman Roll, the classic Crunchy Roll, and our unique Yamaha Roll.
It's tough making Pops happy so instead of giving him a free dessert (like we did for Mother's Day), we're giving him a free sushi roll on the house! He may pick one from our awesome selection of sushi rolls. Some of the ones pictured here include the Bentley Roll, Spider Roll, Atlantic Dragon Roll, Rainbow Roll, our awesome Yummy Roll, White Dragon Roll, Jungle Fever Roll, Caterpillar Roll, and our Three Amigos Roll. We have many more to choose from, of course, so be sure to bring in your dad on Sunday, June 19th and we'll treat him right.
That's right. As if our previous 2 posts weren't enough. Here's another one to really drive in our point. We have 16 different desserts to choose from. This image shows them all. Bring Mom in for lunch, dinner, or Happy Hour and she'll get her pick of a free dessert. She'll surely find something out of our 16 different selections. Come between 2pm and 5pm and it's Happy Hour, where you'll also get the benefit of $2.50 sushi, $2.50 sake, $3.50 appetizers, and $10 Sapporo pitchers. Come in on Sunday before 5pm, and everyone 21 and over will also get a free complimentary mimosa.
In order to properly introduce our new dessert menu, we have a special for Mother's Day weekend. Bring your mom and she'll get a free dessert. It's as simple as that. She'll get to choose from 16 different dessert options including the pictured Chocolate Ganache with Ice Cream, Green Tea Creme Brulee, Green Tea Ice Cream, and Caramelized Banana with Ice Cream. So many to choose from and the deal is good on May 7th and 8th. Treat momma right and get her some yummy, free dessert. She deserves it.
We want you to have the best possible weekend every week so every Sunday, swing on by and get a free mimosa. It's available from noon till 5pm and you must be 21 years of age and older. If you come between 2pm and 5pm, you'll also get to enjoy the benefits of the best Happy Hour in all of Orange County with $2.50 sushi, $2.50 sake, $3.50 appetizers, and $10 Sapporo pitchers. We are very kid-friendly so bring the little brats along, too, and let them run around. You should feel free to kick back and relax every Sunday at Sushi World. You deserve it.
Thursday, April 7th, Sushi World will be hosting its first Anime Night! Put on your favorite anime outfit and get a free sushi roll. It's that easy. Limit one sushi roll per table. We will also most likely be playing one of our favorite anime movies on our tvs. Right now, we're leaning towards Spirited Away but we are open to suggestions. If you have a favorite anime movie you'd like us to show and you're most definitely coming, please let us know! Come on out, you freaks!
No more BS Sundays (Beer & Sushi). To help celebrate Easter Sunday, we're starting S&M Sundays! That's right. Sushi & Mimosas. Every 21+ customer gets a free mimosa from noon till 5pm not only on this coming Easter Sunday but every Sunday from now on. Or, until, we get tired of doing it. You can still have beer but let's try to class it up a bit on Sundays. Plus, from 2pm till 5pm everyday including the weekends, it's Happy Hour! $2.50 sushi, $3.50 appetizers, $2.50 sake, and $10 Sapporo pitchers. That's, of course, after you finish your free mimosa.
We have a lot of awesome items on our Happy Hour menu but definitively one of the most popular and most heralded items is our Yellowtail sushi. It's only $2.50 for 2 pieces during Happy Hour, which is everyday from 2pm to 5pm and then all day on Mondays and Tuesdays. Also available for $2.50 during Happy Hour is our escolar, salmon, peppered salmon, shrimp, masago, albacore, and natto. Our Happy Hour also has $2.50 sake, $3.50 appetizers, and $10 Sapporo pitchers. Come on in and have a chill weekend with some awesome sushi.
At Sushi World, we love to give you options. Even though we're not Irish, we still love to party and celebrate St Patrick's Day just like everyone else. So come on in any time on Thursday and enjoy our Happy Hour all day! That means $2.50 sushi, $2.50 sake, $3.50 appetizers, and $10 Sapporo pitchers. Plus, there are many other Happy Hour menu items to enjoy. If you do come in, you better wear green. If you don't, rather than pinch you, you have to buy our sushi chefs a round of sake. What a good deal!
Every 3rd Wednesday, Sushi World hosts another edition of b.eats with Union Station Radio. DJ Ryan Live, DJ Ayebert, and DJ A1 will all be in the mix from 6pm to 9pm. Come on out and join us for some sushi, sake and sounds! Dinner and a show all rolled up into one, like a sushi roll. Or if you're not in the mood for a sushi roll, you can always get the pictured Ikura with a quail egg. Simple, elegant, and delicious. Oh, and don't forget about the sake and Sapporo beer. Music sounds better and sushi tastes better with both!
The main feature of our restaurant truly is our sushi bar. While most of us are accustomed to sitting at a regular table at most other restaurants, we truly want to encourage you to take a seat at our sushi bar any chance you get. You'll get personalized service plus you can build a rapport with our awesomely talented sushi chefs. The more they get to know what you like, the more they'll be able to make recommendations to you in the future. Plus, you'll probably always get your food faster than anyone else in the restaurant.
Now that we're done with our Sake Tasting event (it was awesome, by the way), we just wanted everyone to know that we have Happy Hour on the weekends, too! You don't have to wait till Mondays or Tuesdays. Just come on in from 2pm till 5pm on all other days (including the weekends!) and you get $2.50 sushi, $2.50 sake, $3.50 appetizers, and $10 Sapporo pitchers. There's really no better deal out there in Orange County and you get to enjoy it on the weekends. It's not like you have anything to do on the weekends anyway. Might as well enjoy it with sushi and sake.
Our Sake Tasting event is this Thursday, March 3rd! We're excited and hope that you are, too! We have 3 awesome killer deals for our Sake Tasting. The first is 12 various sakes for only $25. if 12 different sakes are too much for you, you can always choose our 2 other deals. 6 basic sakes for only $10 or 6 premium sakes for $20. It really depends on your sake expertise as well as how much you can take. All tastes are 1 ounce shots. We encourage everyone to drink responsibly and bring a designated driver if possible. If not, please Uber.
It's Fish Fridays! It is lent so it is the perfect day to come on in for some fresh sushi! We have all the usual line ups as well as many different specials that change all the time. You have to come in to see what they are. In the meantime, rest assured that we will always have a fresh inventory of the usual suspects, such as the ones pictured. Seared escolar, albacore, salmon, and red snapper. Looks delicious doesn't it? Well, it tastes even better than it looks. Have a great weekend everyone!
We love it when you get Monday off because you also get to come in and enjoy Happy Hour all day on Mondays! It's also all day on Tuesdays and on all other days from 2pm till 5pm, even on the weekends! So you see. It's kinda like a holiday everyday for us. You get to enjoy $3.50 appetizers, like the pictured Baked Mussels, and also $2.50 sushi, $2.50 sake, and $10 Sapporo pitchers. Still, the best Happy Hour deal in all of Orange County. You have the day off. Come on in and find out for yourself!
Thought we were in the middle of winter? Why is it in the 80s? Only in Southern California. In any case, we'd like to remind you a little bit about winter with our Snowman Roll. There's nothing cold or wintery about it, though. It's called the Snowman Roll because it's has a snow crab mix in the middle of it. Also has a shrimp tempura in the middle with a soy paper on the outside. It's actually good any time of the year and with any type of sushi eater, especially sushi virgins who still can't eat raw fish. Because there isn't any in this roll.
We love Iichiko and you should, too! Just to clarify, it's not a sake or a soju, as many might mistaken. It's a Japanese shochu, which is traditionally distilled from sweet potato, barley, rice, and other ingredients. Sake is fermented and is typically not as high in alcohol content. So be careful with Iichiko! It will sneak up on you. It's also considered a higher quality than soju, which is much more popular and mass produced. Drink your Iichiko with a little bit of tea, preferably oolong tea or a soda water and some lemon juice.
What's in our Volcano Roll? It's a spicy tuna roll topped with tempura rock shrimp and dressed with a basil oil. We don't use basil oil very often but we find that it complements the tempura rock shrimp very well. This is definitely not your typical basic sushi roll. It's got some different flavors and textures going that are not found in traditional sushi rolls. Why is it called a Volcano Roll? Because it's erupting with flavors and they all kinda look like a group of volcano islands sushi bites. Yeah, that's the best description for them. Volcano islands sushi bites.
We are nothing without our sushi chefs! They are all hard-working, talented, and eager to please all of our customers. They don't hide behind in the kitchen. They're out, front and center, for all who enter our restaurant. So you get to see who is preparing your food and you can actually see them prepare your food right in front of you. If you come often enough, our sushi chefs will know what you like and will suggest similar items that you might like in the future. That's what happens when you build a rapport with our sushi chefs.
It's always on our Happy Hour menu and it's often overlooked. Our Salmon Skin Salad is a great complement to any meal with us. And during Happy Hour, it's only $3.50. Happy Hour is all day on Mondays and Tuesdays and on all other days from 2pm till 5pm. Our Salmon Skin Salad comes with a nice combination of mixed greens along with strips of crispy salmon skin and then dressed with a ponzu based dressing. It's quite tasty and light, and goes well with fish and rice, if you know what we mean.
We're at the tail end of January so it's time to see how everyone has been doing on their new year's resolutions. It's always a big topic at the beginning of the year and then it fades away and everyone usually drops their resolutions. We want you to be healthier. We want you to eat more fish, obviously. Come on in and we'll help you keep those resolutions of eating more healthy. Ask our awesome sushi chefs to whip up a platter like this one and you'll be all set. Yummy overload and it's good for you!
Come on by Sushi World every 3rd Wednesday for the latest edition of b.eats! From 6pm till 9pm, DJ Ryan Live, DJ Ayebert, and DJ A1 will all be in the mix in the restaurant. Don't worry. They won't disrupt your dining experience. They're only there to enhance your dining experience. Dinner and a show all in one. They will be spinning that feel good vibes so if you don't have any plans for the night, come on by and eat some awesome sushi, drink some fine sake, and listen to the sounds of b.eats.
It's Happy Hour all day on Mondays & Tuesdays! Stop on by for a pitcher of Sapporo beer. It's only $10 during Happy Hour, which is also everyday from 2pm till 5pm, even on the weekends. What else is on our awesome Happy Hour menu? $2.50 sushi, $2.50 sake, and $3.50 appetizers. Plenty to choose from and plenty to enjoy. And it won't break your bank. For those of you enjoying a day off in honor of MLK, you should most definitely come in and spend the whole day with us.
Yep, we have an Atlantic Dragon Roll but not Pacific Dragon Roll. Seems kinda odd, considering we're right next to the Pacific. Do dragons not exist in the Pacific? Must be so. Anyway, our Atlantic Dragon Roll features a center of salmon, cucumber, and avocado. It's topped with peppered salmon, a slice of serrano pepper, red onions, and then lightly dressed with a ponzu sauce. If you like salmon, this is the roll for you. You get it on the inside and out! Come on in and try out all of our dragon rolls!
We don't hold back when we give you a serving of Ikura. That's how much we love it and that's how much we know you'll love it. For those that don't know, Ikura is salmon roe. It has a very distinct taste, like a nice sharp salty flavor. The best part is when they burst in your mouth as you're eating them. They go well with a lot of other sushi dishes but we often get them as is because they're just as enjoyable on their own. Get a few orders today to see what we're talking about. It'll soon become one of your sushi favorites.
