Another week in the OC and it's beautiful out, as usual. After you take advantage of being outside, come on in Sushi World where we'll take care of you and make your week even more perfect. Like this ikura, which is obviously salmon roe with a quail egg on top. Eggs with another egg. Don't forget, we also have happy hour all day on Mondays and Tuesdays and from 2pm till 5pm on Wednesdays through Fridays. While other sushi restaurants take a break during this time, we remain open and like to reward those who do come in at that time.

We like to drop a little sushi knowledge every now and then because we feel it's necessary so that you know what you're eating and you get what you want. We have often received questions about the difference between these two and here it is. They are both roes, or the eggs of fish. Masago, is much smaller and it makes sense, because they come from small fish. Ikura is generally Salmon roe, because they are a bigger fish and therefore, produce bigger eggs. Because Masago is much smaller, it's kinda crunchy when you bite into them.

We often neglect how great our Ikura is so we're going to give some special attention to it the next couple of weeks. As we do with everything on our menu, we go out of our way to find the best quality products at the most reasonable prices so that we can pass on to you quality sushi and Japanese cuisine that is delicious and affordable. If you're not already an Ikura fan, you should try it out. It's quite delightful on its own or when it's used to help garnish one of our other plates.
