Although caterpillars might be a delicacy in some countries, they're definitely not included in our Caterpillar Rolls. A Caterpillar Roll is a very popular and common roll. It's a safe "go-to" roll, especially since it doesn't have any raw fish in it. It's great for kids and for non-sushi lovers. Our version is very simple and consists of baked eel (unagi) in the center and topped with fresh slices of avocado on top, which is what lends to its name. Top it off with a sweet sauce and you have a basic roll that will surely please everyone.
Not only garlic edamame, but also shishito peppers, baked mussels, chicken gyoza, chicken yakitori, beef tataki, jalapeno poppers, squid karaage kushi, ikano karaage, and fried aji. Yes, that's a long list of appetizers that's only $3.50 during Orange County's best happy hour, which lasts all day on Mondays and Tuesdays and on all other days from 2pm till 5pm. Also enjoy $2.50 sushi, $2.50 sake, and $10 Sapporo pitchers. There's a lot of items on our happy hour menu so come on in and start the work week off right!
If you've been seated at our sushi bar, you are more than likely to notice our cute little Japanese bobbleheads we have on our counter. They are there for your entertainment but be forewarned not to get them mixed up with our sushi chefs. They don't like their heads being tapped while they're preparing your delicious sushi. For the record, the one on the far right is one of our awesome chefs, James! Say hi to him the next time you see him and show him this picture. He'll love it and get a kick out of it. Just don't tap his head and expect it to bobble.
We will tout our Happy Hour as being the best in Orange County until someone proves us wrong. Not only do you get $2.5 sushi, $3.50 appetizers, $2.5 sake, and $10 Sapporo pitchers, we also have $4 smoked albacore hand rolls! They are to die for if you haven't tried them. Plus, our happy hour is all day on Mondays and Tuesdays! On all other days, even on the weekends, our Happy Hour is from 2pm till 5pm. We also have $3.50 Small Salmon Skin Salads, $3 Salmon Skin Hand Rolls, $4 Spicy Tuna Rice Cakes, and many more items during OC's Best Happy Hour. Come on and see for yourself.
An absolute favorite amongst our regulars is our Albacore Carpaccio. While the delicious slices of albacore are hidden underneath an avalanche of friend arugula, it's also accented with a ponzu sauce and garlic chips. It has a little bit of everything that makes it great as an appetizer or as a main dish during your meal. The fried arugula has a nice crispy crunch to it but couple it with the tenderness of the albacore will make it every bite an absolute joy in your mouth. Don't forget our current Bluefin Tuna Special! $4 for an order of 2 pieces. What a great deal.
Albacore, Salmon, Peppered Salmon, Yellowtail, Shrimp, Escolar, Masago, and Natto. Those are all the different choices you have for our $2.50 sushi special during our Happy Hour, which is all day on Mondays & Tuesdays and then on all other days from 2pm till 5pm, even on the weekends. That's quite a selection but we have also have even more items on our Happy Hour menu, including $3.50 appetizers, $2.50 sake, and $10 Sapporo Pitchers. Still the best in all of Orange County.
Either you're dropping your kids off to school or you're going back to school. Works either way. If you dropped off the kids to school recently, come on in and enjoy some quiet sushi time away from those darn kids. If you're going back to school, enjoy the easy workload for now and spend some time at our sushi bar. Always remember that we have Happy Hour all day on Mondays and Tuesdays and on all other days from 2pm till 5pm. Makes it convenient when you can come by right after school. Pictured are some sushis that are not on our happy hour menu but they're quite the favorites.
If you ever have a friend who still can't eat raw fish, we have plenty of choices of the non raw fish variety. Take, for instance, our Baked Blue Crab Hand Roll, which is also available in a a regular cut roll if you wish. It consists of a baked blue crab mixture that consists of garlic aioli and then it's wrapped in soy paper. The mixture is made completely from scratch and is absolutely delicious. No need to dip it in any sauce because it has all the flavors that will make your mouth happy.
