We are from Hawaii and we were in CA for a while and needed to eat rice. The restaurant was nice and clean, and service is good. They are friendly and attentive. The portions were so-so. I think we get more at home. I had the chicken katsu combo. Katsu was good. No complaints. I prefer my katsu sauce on the side as opposed to drizzled in for me. The tempura was okay, nothing spectacular. I think it is not fresh made and maybe frozen store bought tempura based on small size and familiar to what I've bought before at the mArket.
Overall it's a good family restaurant I would go to for regular weekend dinners with the family.
